The Windhoek Mountain Lodge team welcomes you! We will show you what African hospitality means and ensure that you feel completely at home with us.
Our small team creates a very family-like atmosphere, because everyone is personal and immediately available to you. Happiness, openness and lightheartedness provide you with relaxation and security - so you feel at home.
Hilkka
... she is the youngest team member and has worked her way into the lodge's administration as the right-hand woman of our long-time manager Secilia. Hilkka welcomes our guests and assists them with all questions at the reception. She also carries out all the tasks in the guest house and can also often be found in the kitchen, where she is particularly known for her delicious breakfast breads...
Johnny
Johnny and Victor were one of the approximately 40 construction workers who built the lodge over 15 years ago - and stayed with us afterwards - because with their all-round talent and friendly charisma they simply fit in perfectly with the team: Johnny looks after the garden and ensures a crystal-clear pool, steps in as a reliable driver for transport to the airport or into town - and can also often be found in the kitchen: because he usually brews the first fresh coffee in the morning, bakes the delicious cake and is the grill master at the popular Bushman fondue in the evening.
Sarafina
Sarafina has also been with us for many years and not only takes care of all the housework, but also the good kitchen, where everyone has their own "hobbyhorse" :) She also helps in the service and at the bar, so the whole team is always there for our guests.
Victor
Victor takes on - together with Johnny - the many manual tasks around the lodge and in the workshop, but he also works in the service, at the bar and in the kitchen. When things get tight, he sometimes accompanies a tour to the Kaokoveld and helps in the camp.
Secilia
After a long family break and time off, she is back... Secilia has been managing our lodge and the whole team for many years. With her open-minded, cheerful appearance, she always creates a family and friendly atmosphere for our guests and all visitors to the lodge...
