Windhoek Mountain Lodge – "Home of Gravel Travel"

In 1998 a dream came true for us: a beautiful plot of land at the foot of the Auas Mountains – not far from Windhoek – was on sale... Here we built our own Gravel Travel home base - the Windhoek Mountain Lodge. Since then it has been the start and end point of most of our tours. In the meantime, other travelers and guests from Windhoek's surroundings have discovered our small lodge as a popular alternative in wonderful silence - just far enough from the lively capital ...

Located at an altitude of about 2000 m, the climate is not only some nicely degrees cooler than in the capital, the lodge is surrounded by 30 hectares of natural bushveld savanna with some own training trails for a test drive. Of course, the lodge also includes a state-of-the-art workshop, where our technical team looks after the fleet of over 100 motorcycles.

Due to its central location and proximity to the city, the Windhoek Mountain Lodge is also an ideal starting point for other activities. From here you can reach the center of Windhoek in about 20 minutes, take day trips to various game reserves or to the famous handcraft market in Okahandja.
